About the role
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll accelerate our ability to deliver applications, by developing standardized automation to control, build, artifact and deploy managed services. This will form a common continuous deployment pipeline for application development teams as a whole. It’s a fantastic opportunity to have an impact on a lot of different people and projects for our business.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting application deployments, building new systems and upgrading/patching existing ones
- Troubleshooting issues across the entire stack, including hardware, software, application, and network
- Building and managing development and testing environments, and assisting developers in debugging application issues using tools
- Monitoring and automation
- Enforcing change management processes and driven improvements
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, computer science or related discipline
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field
- Strong experience with Linux
- Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills to work with customers in high stress situations
- An understanding of Software Engineering methodologies and development cycles, as well of the monitoring tools and concepts
- Development experience with Java, C++ or any other scripting languages and cloud experience are preferred
- Knowledge of relational DB and noSQL technology
