We have a fantastic permanent role available for a Principal Consultant based in Melbourne, Docklands to join our Application Management and Transformation team and to work across multiple key accounts in government and commercial sectors.
 
Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the design governance of large or strategic solutions. Ownership of the entire technical landscape of multi-solution programmes. Provides top level architectural consulting in complex business and technology environments which make optimum use of IT to satisfy customer's requirements. Maintains a focus on IT to business alignment.
• Structures, leads and audits the high level design model that flows from the overall programme design. Leads management on assessment of technical risks and mitigations. Proposes conformance, acceptance and testing structure, methods and areas.
• Selects standards, methods tools and applications in all areas, making the correct selection of any alternatives to ensure the design of the customer solution is both effective and efficient.
• May supervise colleagues (architects and Developers) and recommend resource allocation to make sure work is undertaken effectively and efficiently.
• Thought leadership - Communicates the impact of emerging technologies on customer and Fujitsu Services business to senior level customers and other Fujitsu Services businesses.
• Demonstrates an expertise of customer business, offers a high-value advice and envisages IT solutions that are sensitive to the customer's constraint requirements and offer measurable business benefit developing high level relationships with customers, suppliers and industry leaders to ensure that the company and its offerings are perceived in the best light resulting in increased customer revenue and further business.
• Recognised and sold as an industry expert. 
• Supports bid manager in preparing technical aspects and details of the bid response.
• Advocates utilisation and evolution of Fujitsu processes and policies.
• Develops, maintains and communicates high level plans for investing in IT people, environments, and infrastructure.
• Identifies and investigates opportunities to use emerging technologies and architectural constructs in providing cost effective and flexible solutions.
• The role holder has a reputation as an expert both inside and outside Fujitsu and is in demand. He/she is a team leader with visionary leadership and the ability to co-ordinate teams. The role holder deals and liaises with key customer decision makers such as IT Directors/CIO level, Programme Managers, and partners.
• Works as part of a virtual/matrix management team, therefore reporting into a number of people including business line manager, project owner/activity leader, Project Director etc

 
What Do We Want From You?
 
Experience/Qualifications
 

• At least 12+ years' experience in  systems integration, development covering on premise, cloud based technologies
• 5+ years of experience in Design Lead / Governance role
• Demonstrable expertise in at least two areas;
   - COTS product (SAP, Oracle etc)
   - Bespoke technologies (.Net, Java etc )
   - Cloud (AWS, Azure etc)
   - Integration Platform (Mulesoft, Dellboomi, Apigee etc)
• Experience in responding to bids and tenders
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Very strong leadership skills
• Personable, conscientious, able to cope with pressure, multi task and to prioritise work
• High level consulting skills and business orientated
• Proven experience in customer engagement and ability to deal with C-level managers
• Technical & architectural leadership skills - Certifications from Recognised technology vendors would be an added advantage
