We are currently looking for a Business Analyst for an initial 9 month contract working with Brisbane City Council based in Brisbane CBD. This will suit a Business Analyst with a good experience with SAP.The Project:
Council is undertaking a Programmed Payroll Changes (PPC) Project to deliver payroll system changes resulting from changes to Industrial Relations and Legislative requirements/ The project is reported on as a single project with multiple work packages that fall under the Business Readiness Projects for Single Touch Payroll.
Responsiblities:
- Investigation of current business processes that have been documented and identify any major gaps or risks in the payroll process
- Collate and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Document system configuration and procedures resulting from the project ensuring that they reflect best practice for user requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Achieve significant improvements to the effectiveness of the business by analysis, design, implementation and support of improved business processes.
- Lead workshops with the business and project team to review and define the critical payroll business workflows and processes that have been identified as gaps or risks.
- Solid understanding of SAP
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis and application design.
- Ability to identify the tasks and the activities needed to meet the customer requirements and to set the goals and the priorities, in line with the business objectives.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Strong written, verbal and technical documentation skills.
- Broad experience in business analysis and design, within the Local Government environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and to work with other Project staff, in a collaborative manner.
- SAP Payroll experience an advantage, but not mandatory.
