Our client is a global ICT services and solutions company who are specialists in servicing the private and public sectors.

A requirement has arisen for an experienced and professional Mainframe Developer with COBOL expertise for a 5 month initial contract!

The main purpose of the role?

Abide by team coding standards, development processes and best practices Assist in creating solutions for client and/or internal review
Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give demos
Provide quality assurance via code reviews, test plan and results reviews to offer insight and ask questions
Possesses core capability in the specific software technology or product set, in I90
Significant experience with medium-sized technical projects or sub-projects within large projects

Main skills and experience required?

Mainframe
COBOL
RPG
AS/400
Ideally insurance, superannuation and/or banking industry experience
Strong analysis, design and build skills
Strong problem solving skills
Troubleshooting expertise
