Integration is a key enabler of this transformation and as such this position sits within the Digital Services Program.
  
The Digital Services Program, led from within Technology Services, is a multi-year program of work that is focused on enabling digital business and service transformation with a customer first, mobile first approach. The Digital Services Program collaborates extensively across multiple business areas to deliver this change.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide input and direction around integration design, development and delivery capability, to ensure robust repeatable processes are established.
• Provide architectural input into strategy and technical design of the overall integration solution.
• Propose solutions for the resolution of architectural and technical design conflicts.
• Produce integration architecture and technical design documentation.
• Work with vendors of 3rd party solutions to develop and implement integration solutions.
• Communicate with customers to understand business processes, gather requirements and coordinate implementation of solutions.
• Understand and work along the organisations Architecture Principles when designing and implementing the integration platform.
• Undertake product configuration, technical design, development, and testing of enterprise integrations.
• Mentor the development team to build integration capability in Technology Services.
• Provide advice and apply appropriate technical skills on the implementation, support and other matters associated with enterprise integrations to clients, colleagues and team members, including the mentoring of other technical staff as appropriate.
• Provide maintenance and support for all supported integrations, including the development of improvement to all support references and related development/support documentation/standards.
• Assure business and technical integration architecture aligns with the customer’s functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in the design and planning of projects in conjunction with external partners, other Technology Services staff.
• Become an Integration SME and consultant to projects in the Pipeline and manage program expectations.
• Act as the technical lead on projects related to integration.

Experience and Skills

• Hands-on experience implementing an integration platform including setting up development, test, UAT and production environments.
• Strong Java development skills.
• Design and implementation of integrations on the Mulesoft AnyPoint platform.
• Design and implementation of Business process management software.
• Design and implement solutions using a messaging queue engine(e.g. ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc)
• Worked with version control tools e.g. TFS, Git etc.
• Experience in creating and maintaining a centre of excellence including standards, processes, procedures and documentation.
• Experience in building integration design patterns / creating strategies/designing applications.
• Extensive IT experience, including analysis and design on complex projects with a focus on integration solutions.
• Experience within the business and technical teams, in both operational and project capacities.
• Project experience in Agile methodology and sprint-based project delivery.
• Proven experience in documenting procedures
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills including active listening, negotiation and influencing with a demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Tertiary or professional qualifications in relevant computer-related courses.
