Our global client is seeking a Web Admin (DevOps) to join their Automation Cloud Team. This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic operational team in a complex environment working with cloud based solutions and assisting with cloud design strategies.
This person will also be responsible for application deployment management, monitoring and incident management.
They will play a key role in cloud transformation strategy. Extensive experience supporting applications in a high availability production environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation of application deployment and continuous delivery processes
- Contributing to the cloud transformation strategy
- Deployment of application maintenance and enhancement releases
- Documentation, support and maintenance functions
- Monitoring and reporting on application service availability
- Conducting all aspects of performance monitoring and tuning of applications, web and middleware services
- Ensuring that all systems within responsibility meet minimum security requirements
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures governing corporate
Qualifications and Experience
- At least five (5) years experience supporting applications in a high availability production environment
- Strong Linux System Administration experience, CentOS / RedHat preferred
- Experience administering/troubleshooting the following:
- Apache / Nginx / PHP stacks
- Apache / Tomcat / JBoss stacks / Wildfly Swarm
- Provisioning tools (Puppet / Saltstack / etc)
- Server/application monitoring tools (Splunk / Cacti / Nagios)
- Strong understanding of the following:
- Scripting languages (one or more of BASH / PHP / Python / etc)
- Basic network services ( DNS / SSH / SMTP / etc )
- Containerisation (Docker, Rocket) (Desirable)
- Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Mesos) (Desirable)
- NoSQL Databases memcached / redis / mongo (Desirable)
- IIS / .NET Framework (Desirable)
