Ideal 6 month contract with an immediate start for an experienced Senior Manager - Data Strategy & Governance, looking for a challenging project with one of Australia's leading Telco names. You will be based at the Lower North Shore location, to provide direction, coordination and implementation of the business segment data strategy across the business
The role consists of:
- Analysing critical data needs of stakeholders and directing the business unit’s data strategy and architecture accordingly
- Providing recommendations on how to continuously refine and refresh the data strategy based on current industry trends , business goals and aligning with transformational initiatives
- Providing data architecture direction for the implementation roadmap and continuous enhancement in data accuracy on business classification and detail as part of a single view of business premises across Australia.
- Collaborating with up to senior Executive managers, to tailor the business data strategy and guide related initiatives ensuring all relevant initiatives across the business are aligned (i.e. governance, master data management and supporting project delivery)
- Providing strategic thought leadership in the implementation of data management solutions (i.e data marts, data quality, master data management, metadata management, big data, data integration and data governance)
- Being an SME on matters related to corporate policy, data security, data IP, major/complex problems, and issues having company-wide impact.
About you:
Essentially, the successful candidate will be a key contributor to data transformational projects involving integration of large volumes of data and preferably experience with implementing Master Data Management solutions
To be successful in securing this exciting post you will be a proven Senior Manager (preferably with Telco exp.), who has a high level of adaptability, strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to drive a pragmatic delivery approach whilst still meeting critical business needs.
A successful track record of defining and implementing data transformational programs such as data strategy, is key as is your ability to succeed. In addition to this you will master the customer data from a similar environment (i.e. banking, finance, utilities, etc..)
