A large, established government organisation is seeking to engage an experienced Project Manager with a background in delivering ICT network or infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of a complex ICT network project, and will undertake a leadership role to drive governance and process methodology.
This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity, located in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate new projects and deliver high level communication and documentation to key stakeholders ensuring they are briefed on project objectives, milestones and progress.
- Scope, plan and manage the delivery of high profile ICT or business change project/s.
- Recommend and establish project governance arrangements.
- Monitor, manage and control project activities in accordance with agreed plans.
- Manage stakeholder relationships including communicating, influencing and negiotiating with various stakeholders to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Act as a coach and facilitate staff development.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Having successfully led complex ICT network connectivity or infrastructure projects through to completion.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead a diverse project team.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders andf other teams to achieve results.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with the project team and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate project requirements and outcomes, both in writing and verbally.
Highly desirable:
- Certification in PRINCE2, Agile and/or other project management methodologies.
