Business Analyst

Location: Rhodes Corporate Park

Status: 12 month FTC

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced and driven Business Analyst to join our Sydney, Project Management (PMO) Team.

The role

Reporting to our BA QA Manager and as part of a team, you will be responsible for end-to-end Business Analysis on projects associated with the PMO Project Portfolio.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Utilise their commercial acumen to act as the ‘bridge’ between Business Units and IT, and facilitate a common understanding between all stakeholders so that all parties understand the purpose, acceptance criteria and anticipated benefits of the project.
• Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills.
• Create mock-ups / wireframes and demonstrate their experience in BI and Data Mining
• Facilitate workshops – adapting your communication style depending on audience
• Lead from the front - meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations  
• Drive elicitation of requirement phase as lead coordinator and technical writer
• Document the requirements gathered into the IRI Functional / Business Specifications Document template

Your background:

• 7+ years’ experience as Technical Business Analyst in a senior role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong influencing skills
• Experience working with Business Intelligence, Big Data and Data Analytics solutions (mandatory)
• Strong user story writing capability
• Experience in delivering software development, implementation, systems improvement projects, process development and driving continuous improvements
• Must have strong experience with SDLC, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• A strong background in Technology projects, with demonstrable experience to understand systems and process landscapes quickly
• Comfortable with a fast paced, non-structured delivery approach
• Experience writing user stories in Jira (plus)
