As Program Reporting and Governance Manager you will guide the successful delivery of transition and transformations programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational support, including operational reporting, risk and issue tracking, quality control and post project benefits tracking and reporting. 


Key accountabilities 

• Manage and monitor the capturing, consolidation, reporting and analysing of transition and transformation program and project data to support effective decision making 
• Manage the preparation of executive level reporting, providing key insights on a monthly basis as part of this process 
• Establish and maintain a standard set of practices, processes and templates for managing programs and projects consistently and efficiently to manage program and project related risk and costs 
• Ensure program and project resource forecasts are complete and maintained for currency and accurately manage the integration of demand and supply. 
• Ensure financial reporting across the Service Transition program complies with program requirements 
• Develop assurance plans for services transition programs and projects. Arrange for and/or manage and/or perform and manage transition health checks, stage gate reviews and quality reviews, ensuring compliance with the program and project management standards and with Service Transition delivery requirements 
• Develop and deliver services and support ICT project and program management capability across the Service Transition program organisation to reduce program and project related risk 
• Ensure lessons learned are captured and used to provide guidance to other transitions 

Key challenges 

• Manage interdependencies between activities and balance competing demands on transition managers to ensure objectives are delivered 
• Ensure project and program management processes and systems are efficient and effective whilst aligned to business needs 

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Extensive experience and a record of achievement in guiding the successful delivery of critical and highly complex and/or large technical programs and projects in a large and complex service industry organisation, including relevant qualifications or equivalent. This includes superior knowledge and extensive experience in the provision of strategic and operational support in reporting, risk and issues tracking, financial management, quality control and post project benefits tracking and reporting. 

• Demonstrated expertise in the development and provision of PMO services and support to ICT programs and projects, including governance frameworks and compliance, analysis and reporting across all project reporting dimensions, including scope, schedule, budget and change control, issues and risks, resource management, benefits tracking and organisational change management. 

• Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret highly complex information from numerous sources, exercise independent judgement in a dynamic environment, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused and innovative solutions. 

• Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to lead and manage highly critical and complex projects. This includes meeting specified outcomes and time frames, while anticipating problems, developing contingencies and negotiating solutions. 

• Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with extensive experience engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders and customers at a senior level to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes. 

• Experience in a quality assurance role in a complex environment.
