About the role

This position will offer a dynamic role, working as part of a team focused on fault identification and restoration.  Supported products include but are not limited to Fibre and Copper Ethernet Internet Services, NBN, Hosted Voice Telephony Services and SIP Trunks as well as assisting the Managed IT Service Team with supporting our IT client base. You will be part of a growing team of technical support members, supporting a wide range of customers across the country.

We won't consider you unless you possess (and can demonstrate at interview):

  • +2 commercial years' experience within telecommunications support
  • VoIP and IP network troubleshooting (practically tested at interview)
  • Experience configuring routers, switches and firewalls via CLI and GUI
  • Shifts cover 7:30 AM to 7 PM M-F, and 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays; you will need to be available for these hours
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

In addition the successful candidate must possess:

  • Sound ability to quickly identify and diagnose errors and resolve these issues logically in a short time frame (Strong problem solving and analytical skill)
  • Skills at problem solving and decision making with the ability to negotiate outcomes both internally and externally.
  • A high attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • A demonstrable ability to quickly learn new processes and new technologies.
  • Be able to communicate important issues to colleagues and management
  • Proficiency in meeting deadlines & customer service level agreements (SLA's) with a high focus on delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Enjoy collaborating within a team environment to achieve team goals.
  • A commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
