nbn is looking for an insightful, friendly and hands-on technical mind to join us as a MyIT Bar Customer Service Representative.

This role involves assisting nbn employees with any technical issues they are having, predominately in person. You will need to be able to quickly diagnose hardware and software issues on the spot, while also explaining the situation with patience and empathy. After determining whether the issue can be fixed, or whether a replacement is needed, you will offer solutions to quickly get users up and running again. You will need to develop trust with workers, while offering guidance, knowledge and completing the service with style, speed and skill.

A bit about your role

As a MyIT Bar Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Be providing excellent customer service to nbn employees, while also ensuring to resolve their issue quickly
  • Need to be able to manage more than one employee/task at once
  • Solve employees’ issues directly, or by working with other teams
  • Manage employees’ expectations regarding hardware and software issues
  • Ensure necessary tickets for tracking incident and service request purposes are raised and completed correctly

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Solid customer service skills and the ability to exceed service standards
  • Experience working within an ITIL environment
  • Flexibility and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive matters within a pressured environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding and have experience in the delivery of Incident and Problem Management in context to the ITIL Framework
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build customer relationships and organisational relationships

Ideally you will also have experience with Microsoft and Apple products and technologies, Microsoft Officer, Cisco networking, PC hardware and Windows OS, as well as other support systems and IT environments.
