What you’ll be doing
Mine is currently embarking on a new and innovative technology roadmap to enable the delivery of our strategic plan. This roadmap includes key projects for delivering a single view of members, enhanced management reporting and a new core member administration platform and member portal. This role exists to provide focused end-to-end delivery of analytical insights, business intelligence and reporting capability for the roadmap. 

In this role you will be required to perform the following functions:

• Provide analysis for translation of business requirements into BI and reporting deliverables
• Deliver business intelligence and reporting content
• Work with teams throughout the business to provide functional analysis and support
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on key deliverables
• Keep abreast with changing technology, compliance, statutory, market place and industry issues relevant to the Technology team
• Demonstrate a strategic ‘whole of business’ approach to problem solving, while maintaining a keen eye for detail
• Make decisions and recommendations that maintain appropriate balance between long-term goals and short-term imperatives

We are looking for someone with a passion for data, analytics and statistics. Is enthusiastic about driving and delivering change throughout the business, who is self-motivated to learn and keep skill sets up to date.

Essential Experience Profile

• Proven ability to work closely with subject matter experts to identify and translate business rules into actionable data insights
• Experience with one or more business intelligence tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Knowledge and experience developing SQL queries in a complex environment
• Experience in using the SQL Server Stack (SSMS, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS)
• Knowledge of data quality improvement processes
• Proven ability to rapidly acquire new skills
• Ability to be responsive in a rapidly changing environment

Desired but not required

• Experience with e.g. MATLAB, R, SSPS, SAS, Python
• Basic knowledge of Statistics
• Experience working in an Agile team environment
• Programming with one or more programming languages
• Basic Data Base Administration Skills
