Green Light Australia are currently seeking an Automation Engineer who will be part of a technical capability responsible for the development and maintenance of software configuration management tools.

The team requires talented and experienced technical consultants who are technically proficient with VMWare automation and orchestration tools to support configuration, identification, control, reporting and delivery of both internally developed and externally sourced COTS products.

The ideal person with have a wide breath of experience working on automation for virtualised / cloud-based environments.

The technical environment would consist of PowerCLi, PowerShell, RestAPI, vRealise / vCloud Automation Centre / VCloud Director with Microsoft System Centre Orchestrator.

This opportunity does require the consultant to be holding an active NV1 clearance. Unfortunately, consultants with similar experience without this active clearance or above will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the configuration, identification, control, reporting and delivery of both internally develoed and externally purchased COTS products
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools predominately using automated scripting
• Develop and maintain software configuration standards organization wide
• Maintain Software Configuration Management System, knowledge and documentation management

Requirements:

• Minimum five (5) years in a similar capacity as an Automation Engineer
• Prior experience delivering technical solutions into Federal government clients is highly advantageous
• Strong previous experience doing the technical development, configuration and maintenance of management tools on IaaS / PaaS / XaaS / SaaS.
• Experience deploying mission critical applications
• Knowledge of SCCM, sattelitte, IPAM etc with vRA and/or operating system orchestration experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, implementation in complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
