The international F-35 Joint Program Office has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract to establish F-35 fleet sustainment services at RAAF Base Williamtown. Lockheed Martin staff will work in partnership with the Australian Department of Defence and industry to establish the maintenance, logistics, training and engineering services needed in readiness for the arrival of the first RAAF  F-35 aircraft in late 2018. 
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
 

• Provide a high level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to System Integration/Test Engineering activities.
• Plan, implement, test, document and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and commercial off the shelf / Government off the shelf components, elements, sub-systems and/or systems.
• Synthesise customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
• Analyse system requirements and develop integration and verification strategies for these systems
• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
• Review, evaluate and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or
• subsystems.
• Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organisations.
• Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
• Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
• Conduct verification activities in accordance with the verification plan and procedures
• Write verification analysis reports documenting the results of verification activities
• Provide relevant data to support technical decision making and coordinate risk management activities

   
Qualifications/ Experience - essential
 

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)
• Significant experience with the relevant technologies and domains
• Significant experience with integration, verification, validation and testing of systems with complex solutions, using a documented process
• Significant experience with developing and planning of test environments, interface test equipment, and data recording
• Significant understanding and experience using systems integration and systems test engineering principles and practice

 
 
Please note that a security clearance is required for this role, candidates should either hold a NV1 or NV2 security clearance and must be eligible for PV clearance. Australian citizenship is a condition of eligibility for security clearances.Interstate and international travel required.
