Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable Ruby code.
• Designing and implementing development road / process map
• Reporting on development progress, identifying issues, taking action etc.
• Developing and maintaining detailed documentation.
• Working with third parties for integration.
• Managing successful development releases.
• Managing a detailed testing approach prior to release.
• Overseeing junior developers.
• Achieving project deliverables as set by the organisation.

Experiences, Skills & Attributes:

• Solid understanding of software patterns for software design, software development processes.
• Back-end web development with Ruby on Rails.
• 5+ years' experience overseeing development projects (including online portals, iOS apps and Android apps).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership skills, including effective time management, prioritising and delegation are required. You must be able to lead, coach, inspire, support and motivate your team and always seek to improve best practice.
• Ability to apply continuous improvement and deliver effective change management.
• Willingness to uphold and enforce company values, policies & procedures.
• Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
