About the role
As an integral member of the Land Access & Stakeholder Engagement team, you will be a crucial part of ensuring overall governance, and relationship management, that will support the planning, design and build as well as operational maintenance or upgrades of the network.
Stakeholder Engagement Advisor you will be responsible for engaging our external stakeholders that are impacted by the rollout of the network infrastructure such as Local Government Authorities, Utility Providers and Government bodies. You will develop and maintain strong working relationships and identify emerging issues, as well as act to mitigate and resolve these issues through your stakeholder engagement strategy.
Reporting to the State Manager, Land Access and Stakeholder Engagement you will interface with many contractors across a variety of builds and collaborate with internal stakeholders across the network to achieve business targets.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with regional deployment, design, stakeholder, HSE, and / or other teams and Delivery partners during the design, construction and operational phases of the network rollout.
- Engage with local government authorities, key state/territory statutory approval authorities and departments as part of regional approval authority engagement program.
- Preparing and presenting information sessions to stakeholders and enablement sessions to construction and design partners.
- Elevate contentious issues to the NSW/ACT State Lead – Stakeholder Engagement
Skills:
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role, where you have gained strong community relations and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, research, written and oral communication skills and a strong interest in and appreciation of construction planning processes, requirements and issues.
- Appreciation for the benefits of a dynamic team-based culture and the challenges and rewards associated with contributing to the delivery a large infrastructure project.
- Experience and knowledge of working with the Telecommunications Act 1997 and associated Low Impact Facilities Determination would be preferable, but not mandatory.
