Transurban’s ePMO was established to develop, consolidate, implement and administer best in class portfolio, program and project management practices, with a focus on building and delivering on long term ePMO capabilities. Recently, Transurban has deployed CA Clarity as its Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool and is now seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst to embed and maintain excellent portfolio management, analysis and reporting practices.

You’ll be charged with guaranteeing that the status of Transurban’s project portfolio is understood and analysed, with clear recommendations communicated and change managed across the business to facilitate decision-making at the appropriate level.

You’ll be looked to as the subject matter expert of PPM tools & technologies and will need to work closely with Enterprise Architecture to understand the evolution of the broader Technology Architecture and roadmaps. A key accountability will require you to implement an SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) process for the continuous planning, analysis, design, implementation & maintenance of these tools & technologies.

The impact you’ll have

• You’ll support the use of all PPM tools & technologies and own the strategy, plan and administration of PPM tools & technologies to support project delivery across the project management community.
• You’ll act as an advocate of the tools & technologies (in particular CA Clarity PPM) to drive broad adoption and usage of these tools with the business
• You’ll understand business requirements by periodically soliciting feedback / lessons learnt for the continuous improvement in the use of PPM tools & technologies
• With a specific focus to applications owned and administered by the EPMO (CA Clarity PPM and Time-Pro), you’ll lead the maturing of these tools through an SDLC process
• You’ll ideally be technically proficient in the configuration of CA Clarity PPM to minimise reliance on vendor support and act as the single point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders for all PPM tools & technologies
• You’ll work closely with the ePMO Central Team to ensure PPM tools & technologies facilitate efficient reporting of project & portfolio performance metrics and contribute to the development and enhancement of the Transurban Project Methodology

The talent you’ll bring

• You’ll bring with you significant experience working in a complex and fast-paced ePMO environment. Ideally this experience will be backed with relevant qualifications and project / program management experience
• You’ll be a seasoned leader to support our use of PPM tools, including CA Clarity PPM, Microsoft Project etc., and how these interfaces into other corporate applications
• You’ll understand the importance of strong time management, prioritisation and multi-tasking and be able to demonstrate your ability to balance the demands of day-to-day support activities whilst developing & implementing strategic roadmaps for these PPM tools & technologies
• You’ll be a conceptual and analytical problem solver with the ability to understand complex issues and opportunities
• You’ll bring with you experience in undertaking business analysis, including requirements gathering, configuring and improving the PPM technologies
• We collaborate a lot across business functions so you’ll need to know how to communicate with a wide variety of people. This will regularly see you package complex analysis into succinct key messages and findings for executive presentation
• You’ll be able to understand and support the development of Technology Architecture from the perspective of maturing PPM tools & technologies
