We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our busy Engineering team based in Bentley, WA.
Tasks
- Perform site audits to identify the gaps between the existing network infrastructure and client requirements
- Design and document network infrastructure solutions that meet the client’s requirements
- Implement designs and test network infrastructure equipment
- Perform on-site commissioning of the system solution in both metro and remote locations
- Peer review design documents and drawings from team members
Qualifications
- University Degree in communications or equivalent discipline
- CCNP Routing and Switching or equivalent
- CCNP Wireless or equivalent
- Current police clearance
Essential Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in a project focused network engineering role
- At least 2 years of DOCSIS design experience
- At least 7 years of wireless design experience including performing desktop studies, passive site surveys and active site surveys
- At least 7 years of wired network design experience
Desirable Experience
- MATV design experience including 5-wire, BluBox and STB to DVB-T modulation architecture
- VDSL2 design experience
- GPON design experience
- Structured cabling design experience
- Configuration of Cisco/Mikrotik/HP/Ubiquiti switches and routers
- Configuration of Cisco ASA/Palo Alto firewalls
- Configuration of Ruckus/Mikrotik/Ubiquiti Access Points
- Configuration of Calix/Zyxel VDSL2 DSLAMs and modems
- Configuration of Calix GPON OLT and ONTs
The successful candidate will be happy to travel to regional and remote areas of Australia. We are looking for someone with a high attention to detail, someone motivated and able to work autonomously. This person will have great time management and analytical skills and be able to respond quickly to change in a positive manner.
