Our NSW Government client are currently seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage a broad portfolio of strategic business initiatives aligned to a digital transformation of the property industry. You will support the Product Manager to deliver the product strategy and team with business SMEs to shift the business from a project focused to a product focused organisation.

- Initial 6 month contract with the view to go permanent

- Property knowledge and/or legal background would be highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Portfolio Sponsor to deliver the product vision
- Lead the development of an integrated plan for projects and work-streams
- Manage the business SME’s leading a combination of initiatives to deliver the integrated plan
- Maintain a strong delivery focus in a complex, matrix environment, managing multiple streams of work
- Understand the business and process improvement priorities and align project plans to achieve these goals
- Combine technical delivery skills with strong business acumen to deliver to achieve benefits
- Model good leadership to inspire people, drive change and deliver results
- Manage layers of governance and reporting requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven history of working with cross functional teams
- Equally at home on the business and technical side of projects
- Proven success in a project management role in government or Tier 1 / Tier 2 organisations
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including waterfall and agile with minimum of 8 years’ experience including:
- Preparation and management of project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources and project deliverables
- Sprint planning
- Control of change request processes
- Identify, report and manage project issues and project risks
- Business improvement and change management
- Property knowledge and/or legal background will be well regarded
Qualifications Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Business and IT or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience and training.
- Project and/or Program Management qualifications (e.g. Prince2, PMBOK, Agile, MSP, CPPM+)
