Green Light are looking for a skilled Lead Software Engineer to join one of our clients in a permanent capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Established as the software expert for developed products.
• Estimate and produce a software development schedules for all software development tasks.
• Leads a software development team promoting team collaboration, technical discussion and negotiation. 
• Mentor, coach and guide the technical ability of lower grade Software Engineers.
• Provide input into performance reviews and development of software engineering staff.
• Define the software development approach and is responsible for the execution of coding and unit testing against the plans as agreed with the project manager.
• Responsible for the production of software engineering artefacts (specification/design) to support development and delivery.
• Design, code, test and document large/complex software projects from supplied specifications.
• Works closely with other teams (architects, infrastructure, testing) to ensure that the delivery of software is coherent within the overall pipeline.
• Ensure that software meets high quality and delivery standards and that quality code is on time and budget.
• Manages the software development folder & environment to ensure version control and baselines are established and maintained.

 Requirements:

• NV2 Security clearance
• 10+ years of development experience
• Software Development leadership experience
• Demonstrates high productivity & skill in design, code and unit test
• Experience in:
  • Jira and other Atlassian tools
  • Java 8
  • CentOS
  • React-Redux
  • HTML5
  • Spring Boot

Desirable:

• MySQL
• CSS
• Memcache
• KeyCloak
• AD/LDAP
• Kapow
• Experience in building mission-based software applications in structured environments
• Experience in agile/iterative and continuous development/integration environments
