Over the next 24 months our client will implement a number of ERP-EAM related 'building blocks', replacing the current versions of Ellipse v5.2 with SAP cloud-based, software solutions - a modern technology platform widely used in similar industries.
The contractor will be a Senior Project Manager working within the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Delivery Stream and will report to the ERP/EAM Portfolio Director.
The Senior Project Manager will need to:
- Manage a mixture of internal and external staff and ensure the effective alignment and co-ordination of vendor activities to an agreed schedule;
- Oversee the development and management of a detailed project plan to deliver a phased implementation comprising multiple interdependent initiatives;
- Manage the resolution of conflicting priorities and the related issues and risks across various streams of work; and
- Communicate formally and informally through existing forums to stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
Technical Requirements
The projects will be managed under our client’s Digital project delivery methodology with adaptations to incorporate the vendor’s implementation approach.
Duties of the position will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the development and management of project plans, schedules, budgets, changes, risk / issue and dependency registers using our client’s Digital processes and tools;
- Ensuring resources, capacity and dependencies are managed for successful delivery;
- Providing accurate and timely project status reports;
- Develop succinct issues / options papers to facilitate decision-making by steering and executive committees; and
- Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and senior management.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience as a project manager on large complex ICT projects, with SAP ERP/EAM experience (particularly managing the business / process change when implementing Enterprise Documentation and Records Management systems);
- Demonstrated experience managing projects leveraging a variety of development / delivery methodologies;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, senior management and project team members;
- Demonstrated ability in managing a mix of technical and non-technical staff including vendor resources; and
- Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines in a high pressure, fast paced environment while managing multiple projects or work streams.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience implementing any of the following solutions: SAP Success Factors, SAP security capability, SAP Finance, SAP Asset and Works, SAP S4 Hana digital core;
- Experience using SAP activate methodology;
- Experience with SAP enterprise Content Management connectors (xECM);
- Experience with OpenText Enterprise Information Management (EIM) solution; and
- Solid business case development experience.
