The role you will play:
Join a collaborative and driven team as part of our Group IT division in a key role that ensures that the PMO runs effectively. We are looking for a team player who can support the development and implementation of project and portfolio processes and drive improvements. In this 6 month contract role you will work with the PMO Lead to ensure that all of the project and portfolio data in our repository (Excel moving to Clarizen) is maintained to a high-quality standard and enables stakeholders to make informed and timely business decisions.
This role is responsible for management of project recharge processes, ensuring that IT resource effort is captured via timesheets on a weekly basis, summarised and working with our finance team to accurately charge projects.
The PMO has a large number of projects underway at any point in time and this role assists in activities such as:
- Onboarding of new projects and associated resources
- Managing timesheet processes and providing reporting (including financial) as required
- Reviewing and collating fortnightly Project Status Reports
- Supporting the PMO Lead in the development of our Project Management framework (methodology) including templates, tools and processes.
- Participation in Portfolio Steering Committees
- Coordination of smaller projects, ensuring they deliver on time, to budget and within scope
Experience:
This role requires both excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels. You will have an eye for detail, solid financial understanding backed by advanced Excel skills and the ability to present concepts and data in clear, relevant and engaging materials (e.g. reporting, presentation packs). With an ability to juggle multiple activities driven from previous experience within a project environment (on a project, or within a PMO) your passion for learning and project delivery will be rewarded.
