Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Demonstrated ability to create responsive and adaptive solutions that render and perform well on all devices used to deliver our products
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining efficient, scalable and robust code to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s websites
- Assist the Team Lead to coach, develop and mentor Developers to establish purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in line with business goals, plans and objectives
- Excellent knowledge of the mobile industry and the ability to develop the company’s products using the latest device capabilities and trends
- Able to troubleshoot and debug issues relating to the code
- Able to implement long-term fixes to bugs
- Able to communicate solutions to all stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of industry best practices and how to implement them
- Able to work as part of a team to achieve the company’s goals
- Able to provide and achieve realistic timeframes and take responsibility for deliverables
- Willing to work out-of-hours on occasion to “get things done” to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s websites
- Writing and maintaining test coverage
- Nurture/enforce and monitor product technical excellence and high quality
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Essential:
- 3+ years of experience developing and shipping application code
- Demonstrated experience writing modular backend code in PHP, supporting API integrations and serving frontend technologies.
- Demonstrated skills in product development and experience in web development technologies including common JavaScript libraries and frameworks, HTML, CSS, underpinned by extensive work in PHP
- Good understanding of SQL and demonstrated experience writing optimised SQL queries.
- Solid exposure and understanding in software development related technologies platforms and industry
- Good understanding of unit testing
- Strong knowledge & experience of Javascript and Web 2.0 technologies: AJAX, JSON, Http, DOM, etc. is required
- Solid understanding of web standards and technologies (HTTP, SSL, browser caching, cookies, domains, etc.)
- Good understanding of the unique characteristics of web/mobile clickstream data, such as customer identification, timestamp management, tracking beacon design, event serialization, variable scope etc.
- Web services exposure (REST API development)
Desirable:
- A passion for sport and a keen interest in the wagering industry
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering with web-based software development experience
- Agile Development Experience
- Experience with the Golang language
- Experience with Web/Digital Analytics Tools (e.g. Adobe/Google Analytics etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in ReactJS, Redux and React Native, AWS, Message Bus, MSSQL, No-SQL
