About the Client:
This government department contributes to the government's employment and economic objectives in the areas of workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation and industrial relations.
About the Role:
Specifically, during your 6 month tenure you will:
- Coach and mentor developers in the latest version of the D365 CRM technology (version 9.0);
- Provide advice to the client in relation to the setup of a robust D365 CRM development environment including a source control solution and release management solution;
- Lead the setup of the D365 CRM development environment;
- Lead the technical build of a D365 CRM solution/s;
- Contribute to establishing best practices; and
- Contribute to establishing design and development standards.
Mandatory skills:
- Experience in the design, configuration, customisation and extension of various versions of Microsoft Dynamics including D365 CRM version 9.0;
- Experience in building small and large CRM solutions using the Customer engagement module;
- Experience with D365 portals or ADX Studios portal;
- Experience in CRM data migration;
- Experience in CRM integration with web services, both Rest and Soap;
- Develop Javascript, CSS, HTML, templates, plugins and custom workflows;
- Agile software development methodology;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, client interface and presentation skills; and
- Results orientated / self-directed ability to drive change in an unstructured environment.
Desirable skills:
- MS certified D365;
- Experience undertaking D365 upgrades;
- Knowledge of D365 Field Services application;
- Knowledge of continuous integration for D365;
- Sharepoint integration;
- Mobile integration;
- Experience with development tools: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Silverlight, Power BI and XRMToolkit; and
- Experience working for government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify and design new systems to meet defined business needs within constraints of cost, time, security and sustainability
- Contribute to decisions about tools, methods and approaches
- Write and maintain code to update existing applications or develop new complex applications within project timeframes
- Assist in the establishment of programming principals, tools and techniques to write application code
- Apply analytical, technical and programmatic skills to resolve application related issues
- Provide coding effort, time and budget to Project Manager
- Train, coach and mentor existing and new permanent application development staff in relation to all technical aspects of new development and business as usual technical tasks
- Provide advice on application development infrastructure, maintenance and support issues
- Be pro-active in terms of identifying potential application problems and possible solutions to those problems in an open and collaborative manner
- Contribute and lead discussions about changes that will improve the quality of D365 software development
