NEC is managing the support of the End User Computing environment of a large government agency across NSW.
We are now looking for a number of experienced Desktop Support Engineers to join our team.
The role
Based on one of our customer sites you will provide first and second level onsite and / or remote technical support across a range of services and devices including desktop services, mobile devices, systems management, directory services, virtual services, virus protection, messaging services, email services, collaboration services and peripherals) and assist with the transformation of the client’s technology base from current to proposed future state.
What we are looking for in you
We are seeking someone with a passion for IT and recent experience in a Desktop Support environment to join our team. This is a customer facing role which requires exceptional customer engagement and interpersonal skills, a strong client focus, well proven technical systems support experience, and solid written and verbal communication skills. Your communication skills will allow you to interact positively with your fellow team members. You will also be self-motivated, with a positive attitude towards your work.

Key skills and experience required:
- Previous experience in a Desktop Support or Field Services role with experience in managing both Level 1 and Level 2 issues.
- 2+ years’ experience working in a large, complex enterprise technical environment with strong proven working knowledge of Windows Operating systems, MS Exchange, MS Office, Windows desktop products, Mobile device management, SCCM and associated products
- Experience of working in a domain environment, including an understanding of Active Directory & Group Policy.
- Familiarity with common IT peripherals (i.e. Printers, Blackberry’s, Android devices, iPhones/iPads)
