Our client is a NSW Government organisation with a focus to transform the way they deliver excellence and innovation. We currently have a need for a Program Coordinator to support multiple ICT project streams. You can expect this position to be a long term 6+ month engagement to be located between Parramatta and the CBD.

The position is focused on ICT within Transport and the role is to deliver business and project analysis tasks in consultation with the project manager/s and other stakeholders and project objectives.

Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Support the delivery of projects including developing project plans, schedules, monitoring and reporting to ensure that projects are implemented to agreed time, cost and quality standards.
  • Contribute to procurement activities including generating work orders, payments for goods and services and invoice processing to ensure services are delivered within the required time frames to the agreed costs.
  • Update project documentation, including registers, which support the delivery of projects in compliance with the agreed project management methodology.
  • Undertake research and analysis on various components of projects to ensure projects are well informed and incorporate relevant issues that may impact on project scope or cost.
  • Support the development of project reporting including gathering information and data and generating reports for projects to ensure effective project monitoring.
  • Prepare briefing notes, and other relevant documents and report on the current status of projects to support informed decision making.

Experience required for this role:

  • Experience in successfully providing project, business and administration support to a small group of Project Managers.
  • Experience in preparing accurate project documentation to support cost or resource estimates.
  • Sound communication and liaison skills, with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of a range of office systems and procedures and experience of their administration.
  • Proven experience using project management methodologies and related software (MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and corporate procurement systems and financial packages.
