The Role

Partnering with a leading global Engineering & Infrastructure Specialist, ranked as one of the most innovative companies in Australia, we are looking for an IT Commercial Analyst to support a Senior Commercial Analyst based overseas. You will be responsible for the procuring of software/hardware for IT based on analysis and accurate determination of purchasing models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking up software renewals from ServiceNow and speaking with product owners about their needs moving forward.
• Provide input into the IT Software tracker.
• Develop and maintain a hardware tracker detailing vendors, renewals, costs and end of life.
• Procure hardware in the most cost-effective manner, bulk orders, buffer stock etc.
• Assist with software purchasing as required.
• Working with the vendors to obtain quotes and resole invoicing issues.
• Liaise with finance team regarding software costings.
• Working with the Senior Commercial Analyst located overseas to determine what to progress, what to decommission and also where the company can save on costs.

The successful applicant for this role will need to have the following:

• 1-3 years of experience working with software vendors.
• Knowledge of commercial processes for procurement of hardware and software and knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, activities and trends.
• Commercial awareness and strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills and confidence in liaising and negotiating with multiple vendors.
• Availability to start work later in the day and finish slightly later in order to accommodate the working hours of the employee based overseas.
