My client, an exciting and respected organisation in Melbourne's CBD is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the team!
 
Key Responsibilities  
 
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for:

• Networking, Security and Data Centers. Experience with AWS/ Cloud platforms
• Managing and maintaining both on premise and Cloud IT (AWS) infrastructure across the company's environment
• Provide technical expertise and direction on the design, build and support of IT infrastructure
• Work with internal teams and outsourced service providers to ensure agreed up time and availability of critical business services. These include networks, file & print, email and telephony services.
• Support the infrastructure throughout the lifecycle of IT initiatives, projects and development releases.
• Monitor and manage the capacity and performance of all Cloud/Internal servers and systems
• Ensure infrastructure services are patched, backed up and running optimally.
• Provide immediate support in the case of hardware failures or system crashes
• Provide level 2/3 support assistance as required on infrastructure services
• Assist in the compilation of IT procedures and system documentation
• Assist in cloud based architecture and design
• Assist with Cloud based services support and integration
• Actively work to optimise and improve on premise/cloud based security 
• Ensure plans are in place for business continuity of all critical systems/services
• Working closely with a number of stakeholders across IT and business functions
• You will have a strong focus on service delivery, process, service improvement and documentation

 
Desired Experience needed
 

• Experience with AWS Cloud based tool/services/architecture and support
• Experience in virtualisation technology preferably VMWare
• Experience with Unix
• Experience with Windows Server
• Experience with Office365
• Experience with Hyperconverged infrastructure (Nutanix)
• Experience in creating BCM/DR Documentation
• Hands-on experience in networking technologies especially Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto systems
• Excellent documentation skills
• Holistically monitor all key services, infrastructure design and security
• Excellent customer service, strong interpersonal communication skills
