We are seeking a UX Designer / Developer with 2 to 3 years experience to join a global financial services software firm in our Melbourne CBD office.

As a UXer you will play a key role across the development teams in the creation and continuous improvement of our world class wealth management platform. This is an exciting opportunity in a period of growth for Praemium's platform, including new products and services as well as improvement of our microservices apps and rich software experiences today, as well as evolving our core system. You will work with innovative dev teams, creative thinkers with freedom to extend themselves and create engaging, modern experiences, without hinderence.

The Role

You will drive user centric UX thinking, synthesise your thoughts and ideas with the teams into prototypes, experiments, and continuie iterating. You will help our software teams create warm, engaging experiences sharing often cold financial data, through experiment-lead design and software creation. You will help raise the bar of UX and design thinking within the organisation, including across the business. Experience, qualifications and attributes

• 2+ years of relevant experience in designing user experiences and collaborating with agile teams to build engaging and intuitive products

• Experience working with financial service products is a plus, but definitely not mandatory

• Passion for financial services experiences, especially your personal investing

• Some experience in interactive application and interface design, structured design techniques, implementation of UX methodologies, multi-variant testing, usability testing methodology, and development of software applications

• Some experience of working with and extending design systems and pattern libraries

• Using customer insights and data to drive the design process

• Contribute to the build, application and maintenance of key tools and frameworks (journey maps, research & testing, design systems, success measure, etc.)

• Some research and testing experience

• Excellent presentation skills, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable working in an Agile environment, adopting a consultative and cooperative approach to your work
