We are a home automation company representing the national home builder Metricon Homes. We require a design consultant to advise and design lighting, electrical, communications, home theatre and other technologies for the new homes being built by their clients at the state-of-the-art Metricon Studio M selection centre.
The ideal candidate will come from residential interior design, and have an interest in technology, energy efficiency and products that enhance quality of life in the home. Ideally you will be familiar with the housing construction process, and have an understanding of electrical and lighting requirements of the modern home.
Consulting and/or sales experience is essential. You will have the communication skills to determine the wants and needs of the client, and be able to convey the technical concepts of the products and services involved in plain language.
The ideal candidate will be neat and conservative in presentation, and be motivated and willing to learn new, cutting-edge software systems. Training for the products and services being specified and the software systems used will be provided.
We are also willing to consider those individuals who may have most of the above skills from allied industries but who feel they are motivated enough to learn the skills they lack for the role.
