PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To work across FRD’s portfolio and produce meaningful graphic design that both engages and educates our audiences. Content and stories drive our design practice and we are always exploring new ways to communicate. You will have a deep appreciation of the power of the image and the use of graphics beyond text-based artwork. For example, you will have a flair for integrating graphics into media such as film, apps and augmented reality applications.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the creative development for digital and print mediums
- Assist in the conceptualising, designing and delivering creative graphic design across our projects
- Resizing and replicating artwork for various sizes and mediums
- Liaising with clients, external stakeholders, printers and institutions
- Designing for social media channels
- Taking creative direction and working to briefs and specifications
- Setting up press-ready artwork
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
- Excellent skills in all of the Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and use initiative
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in a small team
- Ability to visualise graphics in the 3D realm
PREFERRED, BUT NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Skills in Adobe After-effects and Premier or similar
- Knowledge in Mailchimp
- Illustration and animation skills
- Graduate or 1-2 years industry experience
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior Graphics Designer with a desire to enter the exhibition design field. It is a full-time role requiring you to work in our office five days per week.
