About the position
We currently have a vacancy for an Junior Graphic Designer offering the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to become a member of the Haymes Paint Marketing team. The role is be primarily based in our Ballarat office with the requirement to attend meetings at our Melbourne, Southbank office.
The focus of the role is to provide graphic design support in the key areas of Product, Marketing, Promotions and Haymes Company Owned stores. It will primarily be assisting in the creation of product labels for many different product ranges, developing Haymes branded materials, formatting layouts and finished artwork for campaigns; product launches and packaging livery. There will also be a heavy emphasis on developing and modifying editable local area marketing (LAM) templates and sales marketing support materials.

- Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks and duties driven by the needs of the Marketing and Sales areas servicing retail, trade and commercial customers
- A high degree of attention to detail
- Competency in the Adobe suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications
- Good understanding of Prepress, Print and Digital design programs
- Ability to work with both a formal written brief and/or be involved and contribute to the creative process
- A genuine customer focus (internal & external)
- Proactive and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- The ability to work and contribute effectively within a small team environment
A tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or related discipline is a requirement for this position.
