SACHA DRAKE is an Australian Online, Retail and Wholesale sophisticated womenswear brand. The brand, established for 16 years, is currently stocked in four Brisbane stores and over 100 Retailers around Australia.

Working directly with the Creative Director, this Womenswear Designer will be responsible for managing the Womenswear range from start to finish. Must have strong experience within a similar role and brand with creative and technical knowledge and skills
You will be based in our Head Office in Woolloongabba, inner City Brisbane.
Key responsibilities:
- To design and develop stylish, modern and feminine collections for busy Australian women
- Range plan management
- Liaise with all aspects of the team to ensure brand co-ordination in styling and quality
- Source new fabrics, trims and finishes from Australian and international suppliers for each season
- Create and produce designs by hand or using CAD
- Work with in house design room team to create all samples ranges
- Provide feedback and design changes to Australian and international factories
- Management and development of samples from first fit to production
- Designing of prints or working with textile designers
- Maintaining key standards on fit and quality
- Present seasonal ranges to our Wholesale Managers, in-house retail and online buyers
- Prioritise workload and meet key deadlines
To be successful you will have:
- 5+ years design experience in womenswear design.
- Experience working across many textiles from knits to wovens.
- Advanced understanding of garment construction, fit and finishes
- Training in manual or CAD pattern-making to be able to communicate your design specifications to other pattern-makers and garment technicians.
- Experience using design programs such as CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Sourcing experience from Asia, including sourcing trips
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a collaborative team environment.
- Affinity with quality clothing, an instinct for style and great taste.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and continually meet tight deadlines
- Energetic and Enthusiastic attitude to lead your team
