Paul Barnett Design Group (PBDG) is a multi-award winning architecture firm, based in Canberra. Offering a full range of Architecture and Project Management services, PBDG delivers a diverse range of projects to Canberra and NSW.

PBDG is currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Architect to join our vibrant Project Team.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects ranging in size and complexity to a value of $10million.
  • Lead project teams.
  • Liaise with Clients and coordinate consultants.
  • Accurately record client briefing information.
  • Concept sketch plans and feasibility studies.
  • Produce Tender Documentation and Specifications.
  • Superintend for lump sum and construction management projects.
  • Drive projects and programs to assist the Director and Office.
  • Arrange and attend meetings, and record and issue accurate meeting minutes.
  • Monitor and maintain project filing systems, both digital and physical.
  • Manage projects against agreed fees and services.

Selection Criteria:

  • A degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5-10 years experience and a good knowledge of BCA/NCC and Australian Standards.
  • Concept Sketch design and feasibility stage skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Revit.
  • Documentation and Specifications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook and Office Programs (Word, Excel etc.).
