The Returned & Services League of Australia (Queensland Branch) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing advocacy and housing assistance for those in need, care and support to the lonely and ill, and camaraderie to enrich the lives of current and former Australian Defence Force personnel and their families.

We are currently looking for a Graphic Designer to support the marketing plan and the strategy for each art union with consistent, creative execution of print and digital design pieces that assist in realising the lotteries' commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain brand guidelines for RSL (Queensland Branch) Lotteries and its sub-brands, including the VIP Club
  • Photographs and design support the overall marketing strategy of the lottery
  • Produce all marketing collateral for each lottery including but not limited to emails, website pages/promotions, direct mail pieces and signage
  • Develop print and digital designs in response to briefs for new, ad hoc direct marketing campaigns including direct mail, emails and landing pages
  • Produce new marketing collateral aligned with marketing plan
  • Recommend innovations and design changes with the aim of driving targeted or additional response from campaign pieces

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years in a direct marketing role in a similar, fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in digital design and pre-press print production
  • Experience in a commercial environment on Mac platform, including the Adobe CS 6 suite of products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat)
  • Sound knowledge of html and Dreamweaver
  • Portfolio demonstrating varied design skills, creativity, attention to detail and an understanding of print processes and requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Full Australian driving licence
