Your new company
We have partnered with a leading Australian owned not-for-profit health insurance and health care company and are seeking to appoint a Junior UX Designer on a permanent basis in Geelong.
Your new role
In this role, you will join an energetic in-house digital team, as part of broader Customer Experience (CX) function that is passionate about delivering intuitive solutions.
You will work closely with Customer Insights and Product/Digital Managers on a variety of experiences from mobile apps to consumer sites, owning the direction of the UX vision for the organisation.
Your key responsibilities and deliverables will include:
- Supporting the UX design program across the organisation
- Developing UX deliverables including wireframes, service designs, user flows/journeys and functional specifications
- Designing and conduct UX related testing/research such as usability, concept and guerrilla testing
- Developing and evangelise usability guidelines, design patterns and UX principles
- Embed existing persona development within the UX process
- Coordinating ideation/inception sessions to explore solution discovery
- Collaborating with UI design teams to assist the development of high-fidelity designs
- Liaising closely with development teams to bring design concepts to life
- Collaborating with stakeholders, subject matter experts, researchers, and analysts to discover user insights
What you'll need to succeed
You will be able to demonstrate understanding or experience in:
- Gathering, analysing and presenting findings that drive usability design decisions.
- Knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools (Illustrator, Sketch, XD, Invision, and/or Framer) to develop cross-browser and cross-device web interfaces
- Experience in building wireframes, user flows/journeys and functional specifications from various insights
- UX and CX insight tools (eg Full Story, VWO, Usabilla and/or Optimizely)
- Usability testing techniques and the ability to synthesise both qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful outcomes
- Excellent people skills & a collaborative approach to working
- Understanding of accessibility standards and how to apply to a design process
Further skills or experience in UI/IA/Interaction design or UX content writing requirements will be highly regarded.
