Your new role
As an experienced Planner, your position within the organisation will have you evaluating, analysing and administering planning policies and providing a high level of planning expertise on a range of applications and land use projects. You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of planning with sustainable development being the priority whilst keeping with community expectations; therefore well-developed communication and negotiation skills are essential for this client facing role. In addition, you will strive to ensure the organisations objectives for best practice are achieved at all times and that your responsibilities are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a qualification in Town Planning and/or any Design related tertiary qualification with substantial industry experience and a solid understanding of both statutory and strategic principals. You need to have a solid understanding of either NSW and/or ACT planning schemes and legislations with a proven track record of delivering results and building successful relationships. The ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet deadlines is essential.
