Environmental Designer

We are currently recruiting creative and forward thinking Environmental Designers or Landscape Architects with an environmental background to join our Fortitude Valley based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or professional with up to 3 years' experience in environmental design or landscape architecture to join a multi-disciplinary group who contribute to vibrant projects across the country.

The successful applicant will be someone with a passion for great environmental and landscape outcomes and has the ability to develop relationships with staff, management, key clients and consultants. The candidate should have experience and an understanding of environmental-based landscape projects (inception to implementation).
 
Specifically your duties will include:

• Environmental design of projects ranging from forest restoration, infrastructure rehabilitation, fauna movement, and natural area / urban interface management
• Active involvement in client engagement
• Project management and delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Preparation of tender applications, presentations and planning applications
• Vegetation assessments
• Detailed Design and Construction Documentation
• Contract Administration and Site Inspections

 
To be successful, you will display the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Landscape Architecture
• Medium level knowledge of native and introduced flora species
• A quality portfolio of work that demonstrates your creative ability and understanding of local environments
• A commitment to environmental sustainability and producing innovative and socially responsive designs
• Moderate knowledge of regional ecosystems and native flora species
• Demonstrated skills in AutoCAD and GIS an advantage
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
