HR Staff n’Stuff is an HR Consulting Company who acts as the HR manager for a wide range of clients on all their people stuff including finding great candidates to join their teams.   We are now recruiting for an awesome client for the following role as a Contracts Administrator.

We are a national company based in Melbourne that specialise in commercial shopfitting, construction contracts, renovations, and cabinet making and have clients across the whole of Australia. We have been around for 50 years! We are well respected, well known industry leaders and we are still passionate about what we do. We are looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team as we continue to grow.

Our ideal candidate is looking to apply their skills and experience to assist us in continuing to provide great outcomes. Someone who works with a sense of urgency and can juggle competing priorities would be a perfect candidate for this role. The position is full time and forms an integral part of the success of our growing business supporting our project managers.  It is a fast-paced environment with lots of exciting projects on the go simultaneously!

The day to day tasks of this job include:

  • General administration duties
  • Managing all project documents and updating as required
  • Preparing reports/ manuals as required
  • Preparing tender packages and maintaining the contractor database
  • Dealing with stakeholders including architects, town planners, and shopping centre managers
  • Raising Purchase Orders and organising invoice approvals
  • Ordering products as requested
  • Conducting Contractor Inductions
  • Organising certificates of occupancy and permits
  • Co-ordinating weekly meetings

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly email
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A positive and reliable work ethic
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritise deadlines
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Project
  • The ability to read and understand drawings and architectural plans would be an advantage
  • Experience with raising purchase orders
  • Experience in a shopfitting, construction or manufacturing environment would be highly regarded!
