About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, working within a small, friendly and collaborative team, we are offering a permanent opportunity within a well-established National Business. Whilst the position maintains overall responsibility for the professional and courteous management of the switchboard and reception area, we are also seeking an individual who is capable of assisting the broader Finance and Corporate Team by undertaking generalist accounting and administrative tasks.

You will be proactive, accurate and efficient, taking ownership for your key accountabilities including:

  • Answer calls and promptly pass-on telephone messages
  • Greet and  assist visitors, customers and suppliers in a professional manner
  • Arrange couriers, ensuring all deliveries are recorded
  • Daily mail collection and distribution
  • Arrange despatch of product samples
  • Order and maintain stationary supplies
  • Update SAP customer profiles and advise customers of the correct address in the event of redirected  mail  
  • Complete daily bank receipts from bank statement into SAP
  • Compile remittance advices and branch banking sheets
  • Print out invoices, account statements and organise customer mail-outs
  • Assist the accounts payable and accounts receivable team members
  • File delivery documentation, invoices and other files as required
  • Assist with set up and clearing of conference or meeting rooms
  • Other general administrative duties as directed

About You

You will be a strong administrator with reception experience in a national business and also possess the below attributes:

  • A proven track record in a similar role with National switchboard experience, preferably Telstra IP  Telephony (TIPT)
  • Drivers’ licence and own vehicle (to perform daily mail duties) is essential
  • Previous accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience will be highly regarded
  • Professional and well presented
  • Computer literacy – Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to multi-task and work unsupervised and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Maturity and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Total commitment to customer service with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A team focus and willingness to assist with other finance functions
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system, although not essential, would be advantageous
