About the business
Boys' Brigade is part of a worldwide network, consisting of 750,000 members in 60 countries, which has been successfully operating children and youth programs for 135 years.
Providing young people with a mix of fun, adventure and challenge, BB mentors and empowers each member to reach for their potential, building their resilience and enabling them to find their place in leading and impacting their world today and into the future.
With a Christian foundation, BB has a proven track record for reaching out to the local community providing balanced 4-sided developmental programs (Physical, Spiritual, Educational and Social) for young people of all backgrounds, abilities and interests, BB broadens their horizons and skills with local, national and international recognition for their achievements.
BB in Victoria currently consists of 10 companies, and over 500 members. These local companies are active ministries of their local church and supported by BB executive committee for state events, resources and training.
Our object since our beginning has been "The advancement of Christ's kingdom amongst Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness."
About the role
Support the existing Boys' Brigade companies in Victoria and Tasmania by working closely with their leadership and the local church to identify areas of need, and support plans for continuous improvement.
Support the development of new companies and manage or delegate appropriate resources to support start up. Maintain a working relationship with relevant church bodies, youth and government bodies.

Skills and experience
Previous experience either in a Youth Ministry or Youth Leadership position.
Working knowledge of ICT applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email system, social media and online data management (eg box.com)
Proven experience in managing own workloads and schedules, and especially any relevant examples of project management.
Previous experience in Boys' Brigade not required
