About the role

Reporting directly to the State Fleet Manager, the Administration and Compliance Officer is responsible for effectively managing the compliance of our sub-contractor credentials and documentation, as well as assisting in daily administration within the Fleet department.

The key focus areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensuring all sub-contractor files are created in line with group policy, and that any updates or modifications to sub-contractor files are accurately updated at all times, making sure there is no expired or incorrect credentials against any sub-contractors
  • Assisting the driver recruiter with the on-boarding of all new sub-contractor drivers
  • Ensuring all sub-contractor drivers have the right to work in Australia
  • Ensuring that all sub-contractors have the appropriate insurances and licenses at all times
  • Liaising with the Operations Managers and relevant departments on any sub-contractor issues relating to credentials, inductions or sub-contractor paperwork, including but not limited to expiring insurances, registration, license and right to work
  • Ensuring all sub-contractor ABN/Entity details are current on a per period basis
  • Assisting the Human Resource and Risk Department with annual sub-contractor audits as required

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desire but not expected
  • Strong understanding and background in compliance or human resources will be highly regarded
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
  • Good commercial judgement
  • Ability to work autonomously with good time management skills
  • Powerful and effective communicator
  • People focused with strong conflict resolution skills
