We’re looking for a talented individual with a specific skill set to help us continue to grow and expand both within Australia and internationally. The Inventory and Portfolio Controller is a vital role to the business by ensuring the accuracy of our stock, keeping our product catalogue 100% up-to-date, and helping define and roll out best practice across the business. The role covers all areas of our inventory and stock code systems, and your day-to-day tasks will vary greatly. We’re looking for someone with experience in the following areas:

  • CRM/ERP administration
  • Stock control
  • Pricing configuration
  • Stocktaking
  • Auditing

As this role will be working across the entire business we are happy to offer the role as being based in either our Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane showrooms. Hours of work are 8:30am – 5:30pm, 5 days a week. Salary will be negotiated based on your qualifications and experience.

Position purpose

Ensures the accuracy of our inventory across all locations nationally. Performs regular audits and project manages stock takes nationally to identify discrepancies and correct these immediately. Works with the internal Pricing team to ensure the accuracy of cost and sell pricing in our ERP system. This position works under limited supervision, with general latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.

 

Core objectives include:

 

  • Coordinate and project manage stock takes across all locations nationally 1-2 times per year or as required. Ensure that stock variances fall below 2% of total stock value. Fully investigate and confirmed stock discrepancies with the manager of that location, correct the variation in our inventory, and work with the manager to improve process so that similar discrepancies don’t occur in the future
  • Audit, investigate, and rectify any inventory discrepancies in our ERP system as soon as they are identified
  • Work with the internal Pricing team to update all current supplier price lists into the ERP system. This will involve creating new stock codes and updating existing ones. Price lists should be fully updated in the system within 2-3 months of receipt
  • Work with the Product Development team to ensure the correct setup of stock codes for our Nau brand. This can include the creation of quoting tools such as component calculators
  • Document and maintain our cost and sell price markups across all brands
  • Define and model best practice for stock flow throughout all locations nationally. Work with locations managers nationally to roll out this best practice to all stores
