As we continue to secure new projects, we continue to grow our EDS Engineering Team. We are currently looking for Project Office Co-ordinator to assist the Project Leads in organizing our ongoing projects and support them to achieve project deadlines. This position will play an active role in our EDS program working with our main customer Ford Australia.
Role Outline:
The Project Office Co-Ordinator role is responsible for assisting the Project Leads in organizing our ongoing projects and supporting them to achieve project deadlines. This shall include but not limited to the following:
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain register of QOP/Premium Orders status on Redmine for all programs.
- Advise Finance department when invoices can be raised on Customer for Premium Orders
- Co-ordination of all paperwork required for GPIR’s (Proto-type) orders – (Delivery Dockets/ Freight paperwork, etc)
- Advise or amend promise dates on Customer System (Covisint) and communicate with customer when required.
- Processing of Customer Purchase Orders – Download from customer system. Upon receipt of orders ensure pricing on customer order and details are correct by checking QOP.
- Transfer Design Change Documents to customer and plants.
- Strict adherence to Sumitomo’s Corporate Compliance Policy.
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
- Establish and maintain a strong professional relationship with the customer and Global EDS Team.
- Upload Design Change Requests into the Customer DCR Tool.
Core Support
- Communication flow in Australia/Asia/NA with internal Sumitomo (Sales, Eng, QA, BP, Costing Estimating)
- Providing administrative support as needed
- Undertaking project tasks as required
- Attending to core Sumitomo & Customer meetings as required.
- Support customer change request activities.
- Experience in development processes such as FMEA’s and Control Plans
- Experience product development lifecycle desirable
- Experience in Automotive OEM development process over 10 years.
- Experience in Engineering Quality Systems
- Robust problem solving skills
- Developed issue management.
- Production plant prototype build support/management skills.
Qualifications / Other requirements:
- Minimum Secondary College
- Minimum Year 12
Desirable:
- Previous experience in working in a PMO role.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Cultural awareness of any of the following countries: China, India, South Africa, Argentina or Thailand.
