The Role:
  • Ensure that all repair work is properly invoiced in accordance to the work scope, quote, and any variations
  • Maintain an ongoing assessment of work in progress (Minepoint reports) ensuring that they are in line with work scope estimates and reporting on any major variations.
  • Maintain an ongoing review of all selling & costing rates i.e: Ensure Labour & Materials are current.
  • Provide assistance to Workshop Manager in the review and assessment of work in progress to determine current performance and progress
  • Maintain a high standard of morale in the workplace and arrange interchange of ideas on policy between employees and management
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility operate within policies and procedures
  • Collect, collate and distribute all work orders and variation orders at completion of works
  • Perform adhoc analysis on jobs (Finished and/or In Progress) to ensure they are being performed within the relevant percentage margin guidelines set by Management and provide reports eg: Group job performance.
  • Review and maintain ongoing analysis of internal indirect hours (not on jobs) worked and develop a process/procedure for reporting current costs and man-hours for maintenance work and analysis of productive and unproductive hours worked.
  • Prepare current billing requirements on finished jobs and ensure they are in line with the quote, variations, efficiency and any other amendments approved by management.
  • Maintenance of the Job Costing system by reviewing new and terminated staff, labour rates, selling rates and material mark-up percentages.
  • Assist in system review, development and implementation of the ERP system notably in Project Costing to ensure processes and procedures are in line with the functionality and provide efficient processes for performance assessment.
About You:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in job costing & invoicing preferably within the mining services industry
  • Heavy haulage knowledge is essential 
  • Outstanding time management and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate IT skills for Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive and friendly attitude
