The Role
Our Fixed Communications division are seeking a Claims Coordinator to support all payment claim activities across one of our key contracts, NBN. This newly created role will report to the Commercial Manager, this position is offered on a full time, permanent basis and is based in our Melbourne, Collins Street, office.
Responsibilities
Preparation and submission of all monthly claims in a timely manner
Ensure accuracy of reporting
Management of all claim exception responses and re-issue of unresolved claims in a timely manner
Liaison with NBN in resolving all issues arising from claims
Liaison with business unit system specialists to ensure all data is captured and recorded correctly to facilitate claiming process
Seek to use all available resources to rationalise payment claim process from source data to NBN claim reports
Creation of revenue invoices in finance system
Review and analysis of all outstanding debts including revenue accrual and trade debtors, to ensure the ageing remains at acceptable levels at all times;
Preparation of 3 month cash flow forecasts to be regularly updated and delivered to business unit finance management
Resolution of issues arising from payments team, including communication with sub-contractors and business unit system teams
Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have a strong knowledge of the Telecommunications/Construction industries, with intermediate to advanced IT skills - proficiency with MS Excel is essential. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders locally and nationally, as well as external clients when required.
