About the business

RL Elec is an electrical business operating primarily throughout Sydney and the Southern Highlands. We have an established footprint in the solar industry including installation and design of solar power systems. We also provide a variety of commercial and domestic electrical services to our customers.

Our small, friendly team is looking for a part time office administrator to assist with keeping up with our growing business. Our depot/office is in the St George Region, close to public transport.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Administrator who is has a positive and pragmatic approach. Ultimately we are looking for someone who will fit well within our team and will hopefully show us a thing or two along the way.

If this sounds like you, you'll be responsible for:

  • running the weekly payroll by entering timesheet data into the payroll system
  • managing general data entry including the maintenance of our customer database
  • responding to general enquiries via a shared inbox
  • assisting with the coordination of the team's calendars
  • developing and implementing administrative practices to improve office efficiency
  • general administrative activities including processing paperwork associated with solar applications
  • reconciliation of our contractor and supplier invoices by checking invoices have correctly imported between our job management and financial systems.

Skills and experience

With intermediate computer skills (MAC or PC, we have no preference), you are someone who is comfortable working unsupervised given the team will generally be out on site. Our two main systems are simPRO and Xero, we'd love for you to have experience with these systems however if you don't but are a keen learner, we will train you up.

  • Ability to learn new systems and tools as required

Other Skills

  • Experience with simPRO highly desirable
  • Experience with Xero also highly desirable
  • Intermediate administrative skills
