Your new company
Passionate Not for Profit require a highly motivated Facilities Officer within the inner CBD suburbs. This is a newly created role due to growth and is initially required on a temporary basis but could potentially be made permanent
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
- Oversee the day to day maintenance of the building and ensure external areas are neat and tidy and internal cleaning is at an appropriate standard
- Prepare meeting rooms by arranging tables and chairs, audio visual, electrical equipment, and setting room lighting and temperature and organise additional security when required
- Assist with the security of the buildings. Secure the building, rooms and equipment after use
- Undertake Emergency Management and OHS training and actively carryout responsibilities and safe work practices in the work environment
- Report the need for minor repairs to the Concierge
- Report the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems to the Facilities Manager
- Liaise with numerous internal and external stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in the delivery of facilities management, customer service and administration
- Good communications, oral and writing skills
- Competent with computers and sound knowledge of MS applications and the ability to use and learn computer applications and maintenance software systems.
- Capacity to carry out manual lifting of chairs, tables, etc
- Energetic and highly motivated with a proactive approach and ability to carry out tasks with minimum supervision
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to relate to a variety of people and develop sound working relationships
- Ability to work to deadlines and be attentive to detail
