An opportunity in a boutique accounting firm located in in the CBD fringe (south side), now requires a full time Admin Assistant to join paperless and high-achieving team. The position works alongside the senior administrator, who can provide training and assistance as needed.

This environment would suit an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with prior experience in an accounting firm. Parking is available on-site, and there is also public transport located nearby.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting the accounting team – drawing up documents, following up with clients and some reporting
- ASIC and ATO lodgements and follow up, requests for remission of fines, lodgement of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Applications for TFNs, ABN’s GST and PAYG
- Creating and setting up companies, trusts and entities as well as handling renewals and transfers of business names with ASIC (training available for this)
- Data entry, database management and management of archiving systems
- General administration support, e.g. filing, copying, collating, binding etc.
- Reception dutiesr, meeting and greeting clients, answer phones, answering basic enquiries, redirecting as required
- Proven administration experience within an accounting firm
- Experienced in liaising with the ATO, lodging forms and following up
- Excellent communication skills and customer service
- MYOB AE experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
